Out & About: Chester

Today I went into Chester, on my own!

Chester is a really, really nice place to go to - great for shopping! There's a lot to do there, like the Roman Walk, there are museums, a few art galleries (the ones where you can buy the paintings) and so on, but, of course, I went there for the shops. I went into Chester to look for my prom dress, but i'm not going to reveal ANYTHING until the time is right~

This is like the main high street of Chester. Chester is pretty easy to get about, I wouldn't say it was small, but not large either? So, a medium sized town? If you like designer things, there are a few shops here and there like Russel & Bromley, Rolex, Jack Wills, and so on. Chester also has a lot of alleys so there are little shops and cafes dotted about everywhere~
Also, we get living statues and performers in the streets too which is pretty cool, such as this guy, sitting on air:

I don't know how long he stayed like that, or how he stayed like that, but it was cool. Got a good audience too, so hats off to him!
There's one cafe which I love in Chester and if you're ever there, pop in and get something to eat because it's lush. The cafe is called The Mad Hatters Cafe~! Cute name right? Well it's cute inside too~

This photo does not do the cafe justice! This is what it looks like from the outside (obviously!), I would've taken a photo of it from the inside too, but it was so busy and I was sat at the back. This is a cute Alice in Wonderland themed cafe, with unique cupcakes and odd teapots~ inside it's painted lilac which I think is a very relaxed colour, it's not vibrant which I think is good because sometimes vibrant colours give me a headache! The tables and chairs don't match, as in you'll have a blue chair with a light brown table and the other chair could be a mint green. There are Alice in Wonderland themed paintings dotted about the cafe which ties in with the theme perfectly! The service here is quick and very friendly~ I was alone but I didn't feel alone and miserable when I was in there, which is a strange thing to say, but very true! When I was waiting for my food, they told me there would be a 15 minute delay, which didn't bother me at all, but in 2 minutes my food was at my table and sat in front of me. Either 15 minutes flew by, or there wasn't a delay for me~

Now, I know the knife and the fork looks like a weird thing to post a picture of, but I love them~ they tie in very well with the theme of the cafe and I was happy!
Okay, so, I was in need of a delicious panini and I got one. This is a chicken, mozzarella, tomato and pesto panini and I LOVE this panini. The salad that comes with it has no vinegar or salad sauce or stuff on it, which I am thankful for because i'm not a fan of putting dressing on my salad. Presentation is neat and simple, nothing much to say!

As you can see, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal~

The cupcake selection is always different. You have your "originals" like strawberries and cream and then you have their unique flavours. The first time I went there, I had a coke flavoured cupcake. Now don't make assumptions! It was so good! Not sickly at all, and to be honest, I was worried in case it was, but thankfully it wasn't~ This time around, I went for a chocolate and vanilla cupcake and it was adorable!

HOW CUTE IS THIS? It's adorable! The presentation of it too is so lovely~ And the fork! The fork~ just adorable! It's a lot of icing but it's not sickly nor drying, it's the perfect amount of moisture and the cupcake itself is a little teeny-tiny bit dry, but the icing makes up for that. The vanilla and the chocolate icing swirled together is awesome, and it's topped with chocolate balls, chocolate sprinkles and glitter, edible glitter!

So, so yummy~
All of this, including a drink, was about £8 which I think is really rather good!
I had a nice day in Chester, even though I was alone.
Thanks again for reading my blog~!

Here's a photo of what I came home to...

How to: Wear dark lipsticks - part 3

The last part! Hope you enjoy~

Once again, you want to prime your eyelids. Once you've done that take the Urban Decay Naked palette and use the colour Half Baked all over your eyelids and on your lower lash line. Once that's done, use Buck and use that as your crease colour. Blend this out well~

Then, use Dark Horse on your outer V of your eyes and blend. This is to intensify the makeup~ After that, apply a light pink blusher on your cheeks, i'm using Natural Collections Pink Cloud (I love this blusher if you couldn't have guessed already).

Apply a white or nude coloured eyeliner to your water line and apply mascara to your top lashes only!

And finally, apply Revlons Colourburst lipstick in 010 Plum, and you are done!

Thank you very, very much for taking the time to read my posts! It really means a lot to me~

How to: Wear dark lipsticks - part 2

Here's part 2 of how to wear dark lipstick, hope you enjoy~!
(I've still got the same makeup on from part 1 and i'm just layering eye shadows, just so you know!)
Using the Urban Decay Naked palette, i'm using Naked, a light matte brown, all over my eyelids and then Buck, a dark matte brown in my crease.

Then, using a pencil brush, take a mix of Naked and Buck and apply on your lower lash line. Apply mascara and liquid liner - you can apply the liner thicker this time and have a stronger wing, if you wish.
Now, using a matte brown, contour your cheek bones! Blend this out really, really well because other wise yo're going to have brown lines down the sides of your face and that's not a good look. To contour, suck in your cheeks so that you look like a fish, and in the hollow parts of your cheek, apply bronzer or a contour colour of your choice. After that apply a light pink blush lightly on the apples of your cheeks, i'm using Natural Collections Pink Cloud.

After that I then applied Revlons Super Lustrous lipstick in 477 Black Cherry, and that's it!
Thanks again for reading and stay tuned for part 3~!

How to: Wear dark lipsticks - part 1

Hello everyone, hope you're all well!
Here is a makeup tutorial for you on wearing dark lipsticks~ I know not everyone is going to want to wear dark lipsticks because it doesn't suit them or they just don't like it, but there are people out there, such as myself, who like to and this is just 3 ways that I wear 3 different types of dark lipsticks. Hope you enjoy!

So, the three lipsticks I will be using today are Rimmel London's Kate Moss lipstick in 04, Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick in 477 Black Cherry and Revlon Colourburst lipstick in 010 Plum. So let's get started with the first look! I've already applied BB Cream, concealer and i've filled in my brows.

Here i'm using MAC Painterly Paint Pot as a primer. Priming your eyelids prevents the eye shadows from creasing and helps them last longer. After that I used Soap & Glory's What's Nude eye shadow palette and I took the lightest colour, Vanilla, and put that all over my eye lids and under my lower lash line too.

After that, I used Sellout from the Urban Decay Book of Shadows Volume 2 and put that on the inner corners of my eyes and under my brow bone.

Once that was done, I set my face makeup with a setting powder. I then took the colour Virgin from the Urban Decay Naked palette and, using my ringer finger, put a little bit of the colour on my nose bridge, cupids bow and cheek bones to highlight my face.

I then applied liquid eye liner on my eyes, for this I didn't want to line my eyes too heavily or wing it out a lot, so I kept the line reasonably thin and gave only a small wing. I then used my Miss Sporty Pump Up Lash mascara on my top and bottom lashes.

Now we can apply lipstick! For this look i'm using the Rimmel London Kate Moss lipstick in 04. (This was the first time that I was using it so I wasn't sure how it would look on me!) When I apply a dark lipstick, I like to put some on my lips at first, kinda messily, then use a lip brush to make sure I get smooth lines and so that's even, I go over it again with the lipstick to darken it up some more.

derp.

And that is it!

REMEMBER:
You do not have to use the same products as me! Just have fun with what you have!

I hope you enjoyed part 1 of this and hope you stay tuned for part 2!
Thanks for reading~

FOTD~! (1)

My first FOTD (face of the day)~! I've just downloaded photoshop too so hopefully, these photos won't look too bad... This is going to be a bit long 'cause I took a few photos, ahah, hope y'all don't mind!

REMEMBER:
you don't have to use the exact same products as me or the same colours! Have fun and experiment with what you have~

So, how do we go from this:

To this?:

Well, first thing's first, we got to moisturise our face! I'm using Clean & Clear shine control because it gives a nice matte finish on my skin~

Rub it well into your skin~
Next, I applied Collection 2000 concealer under my eyes and problem areas

After that I used my Real Techniques stippling brush to apply 1 pump of Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream all over my face, and I blended down into my neck too

Then I filled in my brows! I used the Urban Decay Brow Box in Brown Sugar. I used the lightest colour first at the front of my brows

Then, I used the darker shade in the brow box to fill in the rest of my brows

By the way, I used an Eco Tools angled brush for this! After that I used my Dolly Wink brow mascara in Cocoa to add some texture~

Tadah~
Next, I applied MAC's Painterly Paint Pot to my lids as a primer, then I used Soap & Glory's Lid Stuff palette in What's Nude and I used the colour Vanilla all over my eye lid and up to my brow and under my lash line.

Then I used Urban Decay's Book Volume 2 and the eye shadow Sellout in my inner corners to brighten up my eyes and lightly under my eyebrows

I used Collection 2000 powder all over my face and then used my EOS lip balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew to moisturise my lips

I then used Barbra Daly pen liner in black to line my eyes - you can use what ever you like, gel liner, liquid liner, pencil liner, etc~

After that I used a white eyeliner by Rimmel London (you can use a nude one if you have one too~) and applied Miss Sporty Pump Up Lash mascara to my eyelashes

Once that's done I applied Natural Collection's blush in Pink cloud and wiped off my lip balm so that my lips are ready for lipstick!

Now, the finale to the look! I'm using Rimmel London's Kate Moss lipstick in number 02 (Rossetto), I used a lip brush to apply this~

And that's it! You're done~! This was my first FOTD and I really hope you liked it~ Thanks again for reading my blog~!
