Runway Looks - Roberto Cavalli Aut/Wint '11

Hello everyone~
I'm finally back on track with my runway inspired looks! And today I shall show you my interpretation of Roberto Cavalli's Autumn/Winter '11 runway makeup. This is a smokey eye with a copper lid and it's gorgeous~ full of warmth and is quite messy too. So, if you'd like to see how I recreated this look:

Please keep on reading~!

As usual, I applied a moisturiser and a toner to my skin, then I used a primer and then on top of that I used my BB Cream.

The models in the photos have thick, dark, straight and angular brows, so I used the darkest shade in my brow box to fill my eyebrows in. Once I had done that, I applied a primer to my lids to prevent my eye shadows from creasing.

I patted on a shimmery copper eye shadow (1) to the centre of my eyelids, going slightly past my crease. After that, I packed a matte black eye shadow (2) on the outer corner of my lids and began to blend it in into my crease.

To help me blend out the black eye shadow, I used a matte medium/dark brown (3) into my crease and blended it upwards.

I used the same matte black eye shadow in the inner corners of my eyes and blended that into the copper colour.

I used a black pencil eyeliner on my lash line and blended it out with the black eyeshadow. I kept going back to the copper colour and packing it back onto my lids because it got washed out against the black eye shadow.

With the same copper eye shadow, I applied it thickly under my eyes and slightly blended it out. With the black eye shadow, I applied this on top of the copper eye shadow, but keeping it close to my bottom lashes.

I mixed a light shimmery gold eye shadow (4) and a darker gold eye shadow (5) for my inner corner highlight.

I swept away any fall out that I had and applied concealer where I needed it and blended it out.

I used the same black pencil eyeliner on my water line and I tight-lined with it too.

For the face, I used a highlighter on the top of my cheek bones and a peach blush to warm my face up a bit. For my lips, I just blanked them out a little bit with what ever BB Cream was left on my brush.

And that's it! I realised after taking a few photos, I had forgotten to apply mascara, haha! After I had applied blush and highlighter, I applied mascara on my top lashes and lightly on my bottom lashes.

Thanks so much for reading and I hope you like this look! I really like it, and I don't wear black eye shadow, but it works well here~ of course you can tone it down and make it more wearable and adjust it here and there!

REVIEW - GEO Magic Colour Lenses, Fresh Colour FC-725

Hello everyone~
I have another lens review for you! Ever since I bought my first pair from EDIT, I need more lenses in my life, and yesterday (27th) I went to London to go to the V&A, but we were given a chance to go out into London too, so of course I took this opportunity and went for a bit of a shop! I bought the GEO Magic Colour Lenses in Fresh Colour FC-725, which are 2 tone grey lenses.
I've heard good things about GEO lenses, and i've always wanted a pair to see if they lived up to expectations, and oh my goodness, they have.

My eye on the left has no contact in, and the eye on the right does.
As soon as I put the lens in I was totally amazed - my eyes didn't water at all, it was so comfortable, and it looks natural too!

The top photo is taken with a flash and the one underneath it is taken without a flash.
I love, love, love these lenses~ You don't feel them in your eyes, unlike the EDIT ones, which you can feel. These are so much more natural looking too, and such a pretty grey! They blend in really well with my natural green eyes, it's not a harsh line surrounding my pupil which i'm always weary of, it just looks so pretty~ The diameter is 14.2mm, so you're going to have a bigger eyed effect, which I personally like. You get the bigger eye effect from the black ring surrounding the lens too.

I really can't get over how comfortable these lenses are!

YES, JUST LOOK. UGH~ MY HEART MELTS.

Overall, I am totally impressed by these GEO lenses and I will definitely be purchasing another pair, or a few other pairs~ I give these 10/10!

Thanks for reading! I really hope you liked this quick post~ If you would like me to review anything, have a look you'd like me to recreate or ask me a question, you can contact me via twitter @nadia_harrison or email me at elegant.mustache@yahoo.co.uk

Makeup for: Blue eyes

Hello everyone~
Here is a quick and suuuuper easy tutorial for people with blue eyes! Of course you can wear this if you haven't got blue eyes~

For me, I have to put in my blue contacts for this look so you'll get a good idea of how it looks!

Apply your foundation/BB Cream, fill in your eyebrows and apply a primer to your lids.

Apply a light shimmery gold eye shadow all over your lids. Don't worry if it's not neat, we're going to blend it out with another colour. I'm using George's eye shadow in 11 Glow. Then use a matte orange eye shadow and apply this into your crease and blend upwards towards your brow. Use a matte white eye shadow as a highlight for your brows.

Apply the same orange eye shadow half way under your eyes and the gold eye shadow 2/3rds of the way in.

Apply a shimmery white eye shadow to your inner corners to brighten up your eyes. I'm using MAC's Invincible Light eye shadow. Apply concealer and set your face with powder.

Apply a white eyeliner to your water line. Use a liner of your choice, i'm using liquid liner, to line your eyes and wing it out. Apply plenty of mascara to your top lashes and a little bit on your lower lashes.

Because our eyes are warm with colour, we want to balance it out with cool colours, so apply a pink blusher lightly to your cheeks. Apply a highlighter to your cheek bones, chin, nose bridge and cupids bow.

I will now show you 4 different lipsticks to wear with this look~
The first is a bright matte pink - beautyuk, 11 cupcake.

Second is a bright glossy pink - Revlon, cupcake.

Third is a glossy bold pink - Etude House, 2NE1 Follow Me

Fourth is a matte peachy nude - Illamasqua, Sonnet

And that's it!
I hope you enjoyed reading this post~ I will be doing looks for grey, green and brown eyes soon!
